My best tip to making a delicious salad is to mix in some kind of fruit. A bit of sweetness in savory food always enhances the overall flavor and it allows you to have nice surprise bites here and there!

Dairy-free Ranch Dressing
The dressing is rich, creamy yet not heavy at all. It is primarily made with cashew yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic powder. Although it has that ‘ranch’ flavor, it is a much healthier and lighter version made with all the healthy ingredients. And what’s more, it is gluten and dairy free.
Ingredients for This Recipe
- Olive oil
- Cashew yogurt - select unsweetened type. You can substitute with any non dairy yogurt
- Lemon juice - fresh is recommended but bottled works as well
- Garlic powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Mixed greens
- Apple
- Walnuts
How to make apple walnut salad
1. Combine all ingredients for the dressing together and mix well. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, place the greens and chopped apple. Drizzle the dressing and toss well.
3. Serve on a plate(s). Top with chopped walnuts, sliced apples and drizzle some olive oil.

The dressing can be pre-made, and refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
