This baked tuna steak is a quick and incredibly flavorful dish that is amazingly easy to prepare. The combination of sweet honey, aromatic garlic, and savory fish sauce creates a balanced marinade that complements the tender ahi tuna!
Preheat the oven to 425°F/ 218°C. Line a baking sheet pan.
Combine the ingredients for marinade together in a small bowl. Whisk well.
Pat dry the tuna with paper towels. Place them in a large air tight bag, then drizzle the marinade over the fish. Close tightly and make sure the tuna is evenly coated. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Arrange the tuna on the baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until easily flaked with a fork and center of tuna steak is just barely pink. Optional: for added color, broil on high for the last 1-2 minutes of the baking process.
