This recipe is an ideal choice for busy weeknights. The quick marinade is so simple yet full of umami rich flavors. By baking the fish at a high temperature, the steak stays moist and tender while achieving a beautiful finish in just a few minutes.

Pair this baked tuna with a side of salad, rice, or noodles to make into a satisfying meal!

    FAQ

How long should I marinate the tuna steak for?

10 minutes is just enough. Letting it marinate for too long leads to the sodium sucking moisture out of the fish, resulting in a dry texture.

How should I store the baked tuna steak?

Cooked tuna steak can be refrigerated for 2-4 days, covered tightly. To freeze, wrap individually in plastic wrap, then store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    How to reheat tuna steak?

A quick flash sear is the best way to reheat cooked tuna steak. I do not recommend microwaving as it can dry out the steak easily. To reheat frozen tuna steak, make sure it's thawed before putting over the stovetop.
