This recipe is simple, easy to make, and absolutely delicious with a bit of Asian twist. Chinese leeks add mild yet aromatic flavor that enhances the overall dish. The pork is rich in umami, seasoned with tamari soy sauce. I love pairing this pasta with simple salads or soup to make it into a full meal!

Ground pork pasta can be made in just around 20 minutes - all it takes is to cook the aromatics (garlic), add the pork and leek with seasonings, and combine with cooked pasta.

Don’t forget to add a sprinkle of black pepper and fresh lime slices for a refreshing finish!

    FAQ

I forgot to reserve pasta water. What shall I do?

Just use water! Make sure it’s heated well in the pan before you add cooked pasta.

    Tips for cooking gluten-free pasta?

One thing about gluten-free spaghetti is that it tends to get mushy when it’s even slightly overcooked. Once drained with a strainer, I recommend rinsing under cold water briefly to stop cooking further, and drizzle a little bit of olive oil to prevent sticking. Rinsing also helps to remove excess starch on the surface.

    Chinese leeks vs regular leeks?

Chinese leeks are available at Asian grocery stores, and they are thinner and milder than regular leeks found in Western grocery stores. If you are substituting with Western leeks, cook for a slightly longer time.
